As an anglo you're unlikely to understand the complexities and reality of the situation. By that point generations of Black Americans had been enslaved to the point where they formed their own culture on this continent. Southern food is heavily influenced by the restrictions slaves had in their own diets. You're also not accounting for the fact that most Africans do not see ADOS as one of them, that is the consequence of being bought and sold during the transatlantic slave trace.

I do agree that the east African slave trade has gone on longer and continues to persist but it does not nullify any of my points above.

Innocent people aren't being blamed. Systemic racism is at the institutional level whether or not you believe in it or not. Just today a couple of cities are having catastrophic toxic gasses and fumes leaking in cities that are *checks notes" predominantly brown. These events don't happen in affluent areas. We both know race and class are intertwined.
