    I would be curious to know the specific reasons he was talking about.

    For one, you can't put kiwiflare on api endpoints (it's javascript or maybe wasm).

    You could come up with a protocol to do proof of work with a challenge/response sort of thing but then you'd be reliant on other software to implement so you might get pleroma forks and mitra, so federation wouldn't work.

    As far as the rest of that stack, I don't see that there would be a problem, compute is compute and bandwidth is bandwitdh. Other than the sheer chattiness of AP and how prone it is to ddos instances just by accident when posts spread far enough.
