- Embed this notice@lord_nougat @PNS @BowsacNoodle @HonkHonkBoom a dedicated piece of NAS hardware is more effiecient in terms of power use, but here's the thing, a desktop pc doesn't really draw tha tmuch power at idle, and a nas will only spool up if it's under load from you dumping lots of files which you won't do that often surely
there's also nextcloud, which is a cloud backup service that you can run your own server for which i spose would be cool. and by run your own server, i mean you can run it locally i've looekd into it, but i just have an NFS share mounted in my computer if i wanna save stuff i jsut throw it in that folder lol
