Those who want to use a real computer will, those who refuse will use a smartphone.
And in a sense I think this doubles as a filter; the nerds get to talk with other nerds, while the rest rolls in the whole mainstream shit they themselves have pooped out.
This is actually way better than inviting them into places they don't belong, only to then be forced out of by those very people you invited in.

This is what happened to the internet, and just about every single hobby so far as well.
Yet nobody ever seems to learn.
Although, apparently the Vtuber and gatcha game communities have learned their lessons, and stood up against wokeness and censorship respectively, and now they continue to enjoy their hobbies the way they always had.
