    My completely apolitical cooking instance was blocked by these people for racism, *phobias, etc

    All because of the software I use, no other reason

    Not that I'm complaining, I'd rather these types of people block me and never interact in the first place but it's just petty kneejerk behavior.

    Now, my main instance (this one) gets blocked all the fucking time and I'm perfectly okay with that because I'm not going to censor myself to appease weirdos on the internet who feel the need to police other people's behavior to fit in with their bizarre utopian ideals concerning online safety and inclusivity

    We federate with all sorts of stupid and shitty instances populated by the biggest fuck-witted morons imaginable, you know what I do when I see a stupid take or something that I find grossly offensive?

    I either laugh, ignore it, or make fun of it and repost it so other people can make fun of it too

    I don't clutch pearls and cower behind blocks. You will find that healthy antifragile individuals do not need other people to protect them from unpleasantness on the internet. What winds up happening is the people who have been coddled for too long will inevitably be exposed to these concepts and will be completely unable to deal with them, and one day you'll find yourself in a situation that you can't just hit a block button to solve
