When someone who is problematic for the regime ends up convicted for an extreme act like terrorism or pedophilia, I get suspicious.
The Order was a legitimate right-wing terror group that robbed banks and murdered a radio-host, but then there's people like Randy Weaver and the Branch Davidians who may have been eccentric but were no terrorists, despite how the media portrayed them.
So you say, be careful of defending potential child abusers, but that's precisely why I have my doubts. I can say from my personal experience I knew a childhood friend who was accused of rape that I was convinced was guilty, but he ended up being innocent and once the whole story came out I was embarrassed for having jumped to conclusions.
