He does give a damn about what the American educated elite think, and his blog was meant to get them to question Progressivism. Why do you think he extensively cites his sources? So that you could check them?

You are smart, well-read and well-spoken, certainly a learned man, but you are not of the people who need to lose their faith in order for political change to be possible. Communism fell in the Soviet Union not because the government was overthrown by outsiders, rather it fell because the insiders in the Soviet elite stopped believing in Communism and wanted something else.
