@BowsacNoodle @nugger @Moist_Ratstein @rher @Griffith @Crux_Invictus Actually to expand on the tolerance bit, I don't even mean that as a short term tactical choice, I mean Prots really just coexist. Maybe @SuperLutheran could tell me different, but the attitude people around me had growing up was that Lutherans and Baptists and Methodists etc were all Christians and none of them thought the others were going to Hell just because they attended a different church. You needed to be a really out-there sect like Mormons to not be accepted in the American Christian mainstream back when that was a real thing. There was debate about JFK being a Catholic president (spooky and foreign) but most Protestant denominations didn't get scrutinized too hard.
