depends on jurisdiction. in the US generally you aren't liable for user generated content unless you are aware that it exists and is in violation of the law. there has to be a publicly visible way to contact you to report violations tho. I dunno the gory details

anyway such legal details don't matter to your "is it legal" policy since in the end intentionally permitting illegal content would land you in hot water (obviously). I'm just over here ahckchuallying
