And they do not require you to have an account to track you, but that's a different story. In conversation permalink -

Matt Fischer (mfisch@mastodon.online)'s status on Saturday, 24-Dec-2022 03:57:31 JST Matt Fischer @hypolite for example. Every site that has this is cursed. I’ve tried with piHole as well without any luck.

Matt Fischer (mfisch@mastodon.online)'s status on Saturday, 24-Dec-2022 04:03:23 JST Matt Fischer @hypolite I have one. But signing into Google every time I launch a browser is a hard no from me. Wiping cookies on close is a hill I’ll die on.

hypolite (hypolite@friendica.mrpetovan.com)'s status on Saturday, 24-Dec-2022 04:05:32 JST hypolite @mfisch I hear you, I do the same, and I usually don't bother to sign in again when I don't have an immediate need for an account, which shouldn't be too much to ask for. In conversation permalink -

Matt Fischer (mfisch@mastodon.online)'s status on Saturday, 24-Dec-2022 04:11:31 JST Matt Fischer @hypolite this is just some google/meta product manager fantasy for how the internet should work. First force sign in when using chrome, then harass the whole internet until everyone does it. By 2025 I’ll probably get a call from a google ad rep every time I load a site without being signed in.
