@evan The only reason I haven't deactivated my Twitter account is that I don't want some clown coming in and grabbing the "znmeb" handle I've used since the 1980s wherever I could. I can't trademark it but it's as much a part of my online history as electrons are at this point.

@evan Yeah I used them. For me it's less about rebuilding my base from Twitter and being a part of something new here, but it absolutely feels a bit lonely on this island, and I'm totally confused as to how people have found community on it.

@jackbarrow so, here's what I'd suggest:
1. Use a Twitter social graph synch tool to follow people here that you followed there. https://www.movetodon.org/ is a good one.
2. Make a quality post every day. Photos are best!
3. Use hash tags for reach.
