For instance

Post A has 8 replies on tiny server
Post B has 1 replies on large server

is different info than two 8 reply posts, no?

@clacke I do see that, however would much prefer a push to become the leader of (also financially incentivize) localized production and distribution rather than the toll booth to other countries using/mfg their own developed technology.

We aren't going to significantly make a global impact buy seeing who can write the biggest checks and trying to be the country to cash them.

Localized energy production & distribution should if at all possible include the equipment necessary. #IMHO

I can't but help think that transporting natural renewable resources across the ocean is a better way forward for anyone except monetarily over localized energy production and distribution.

@LunaFoxgirlVT @aeva agreed but I now realize I was in a position to engineer that capability and had a responsibility to at least advocate we did so.

@aeva I worked on a commercial device that shipped with some PC software & the embedded device sources were just packaged on that CD.

There was definitely no feasible way for the customer/end user or even manufacturer to update that code without removing a bunch of silicone and soldering on a serial interface, but you know, "letter of the law". Back then I was just happy to be putting another penguin off the end of a production line.

Now, I am conflicted with a few decisions made above me.
