Wasn't there some type of freeze plug or something or other that would drain the molten material if the power went out?

      One of my favorite stories from the Cold War arms race was how America got so shook by the MiG-25 that they designed and built the greatest fighter platform of all time to counter it, and then later found out it was a gigantic piece of shit that could reach its purported top speed precisely once before melting its own engines.
