      after this, the bazzite dev started a "coalition for gaming on linux" or some shit like that to "share development efforts across distros" because he kicked out a prolific dev lmfao. The cachyOS devs did not join that effort and even called it out.

      @Suzu @PunishedD I don't care tbh Microsoft is an unsalvageable foreign company at this point and it's not possible to turn it around unless the army marches in with rifles and forcefully removes the entire leadership.

      They'd be justified in doing so because having your biggest tech firm controlled by borderline hostile foreigners is a national security risk I can't even wrap my head around.

      You're right that the people running linux right now will not save us. The point would be to get enough of an interest going that real players like Valve would want to get involved. I don't care about this license autism NOTHING in that space is actually usable. I just want a working operating system back.

      @goatmeal @PunishedD @EdBoatConnoisseur @merchantHelios @mischievoustomato I'm for trying them because shit breaks constantly on regular distros (especially anything driver related). Graphics require a special type of care to ensure you're not bricking your users setups.

      Bazzite WAS (and currently is) seemingly a good distro for this but obviously if the team fell apart it's just a ticking time bomb now. I'll keep an eye on Cachy since I think they're supposed to be a similar deal but arch based.
