     @FeloniousPunk @Crystal_Fish_Caves I became homeless on the east coast when I was fired for needing major surgery. Dude literally fired me while I was being prepped. When he had threatened it, I had ask "The fuck are you going to do with a dead employee?"
     Anyway, having no home to be attached to, and absolutely hating the east coast, and wanting to be far away from my shitty family...
     I drove west until I ran out of country to drive on.

     @FeloniousPunk @Crystal_Fish_Caves I remember the day that made me love this place. I was at a protest, and a guy approached, clearly having a mental health episode and causing a scene. People handled this with compassion, making sure he was hydrated, trying to find him some shade, trying to figure out what had him in such distress.

     I worry what may happen to me if I have an autistic meltdown in public. Seeing this made me feel safer here than anywhere else I've been in this country.

     A friend and I drove back to the east cost to fetch stuff from the storage unit I had left behind. We had stopped for lunch in some diner in the middle of the country somewhere. (Best ham steak I've ever had, I'll give them that!) EVERYONE in that diner was just staring at me the entire time. It was like they could sense the queer and couldn't believe the audacity
     My traveling companion was a guy, btw.

     @hellomiakoda I’ve been working on the web since about 1995. I mostly work in Ruby since 2007, but I have dabbled in so many languages/platforms. Special interest in UI though I am not a designer. Current company is not yet public about what we are up to.
