@threalist someone is displaying power, we just don't know who

Is it just a power move to let you know that they know you know they are lying?

@jb @threalist again, there are possibly multiple messages. People could be being forced to not reveal evidence and are doing an obvious thing here to piss off those that made them not release it.

They have the resources to make a slick proper video edit but didn’t
They could have let the story quietly die instead an obvious 180° pivot to “he killed himself” and “there is no list”
It feels like someone is rubbing our noses in it

@EssentialUtinsil @jb @threalist This doesn't feel like a humilation ritual to me. They like it - and so they will make sure EVERYONE OBVIOUSLY knows it is humiliating, because that's what they love.

@jb @sickburnbro @threalist once you understand how much jews love the humiliation ritual, many things make much more sense

@EssentialUtinsil @jb @threalist Right; there are two types - the private version and the public version. In the public humiliation, the point is for the most people possible to know this is being done to humiliate.
The important thing to think about is: why do the love humiliation rituals?

@sickburnbro @jb @threalist well yeah, they do humiliation rituals because they enjoy it.

@sickburnbro @jb @threalist it's a way to keep a conquered people in subjugation, and it reinforces their own sense of superiority

@EssentialUtinsil @jb @threalist If you look at 2000 years of jews, they aren't rulers. What did they do to piss the romans off?

@petra @EssentialUtinsil @jb @threalist for sure. Those, if anything, would fall into private humiliations, which many types of people do.
IMO people overuse "humiliation ritual" - and if something seems like it could be humiliating, they call it that. But I think you have to at minimum see a person who has been thoroughly humiliated- and see their behavior before and after to grasp what it looks like.
And of course, the classic Janissary is kind of the ritual everyone has in mind - the important thing to note about it is that it was incredibly obvious what was going on. No-one didn't know about it.

@EssentialUtinsil @petra @jb @threalist sir, are you trying to ask me NOT to be technical about things?

@sickburnbro @petra @jb @threalist it's good propaganda, theres no need to be so technical about it
