@RegGuy @hosford42 @AnnaAnthro we honestly have no idea what will happen to those people any more than german citizens knew what was happening to their jewish neighbors in ww2

@hosford42 We may only know the answer in retrospect. Now, they are political camps. People are not being sent there specifically to kill them, as far as anyone can tell. Also, the ones run in the US are by for-profit entities, so they have a strong incentive to keep people alive. They are doing that as cheaply as possible, thus this happens. Neither one is acceptable to me and the vast majority of Americans. However, a substantial minority of Americans elected these evil people. @AnnaAnthro

@AnnaAnthro We are running gulags now, not detention centers. I don't even know what to do. I am so frustrated with this situation and feel powerless to make a dent in it. As a teen I protested Vietnam and have protested all my life up to Trump's gulags in his first administration.
But to be honest, it feels useless this time as the planning to control all facets of things seems sewn up tight. Nothing seems to stop these evil people.

@raphaelmorgan @RegGuy @zombiewarrior @hosford42 @AnnaAnthro They are absolutely already concentration camps. Death camps are what happens when they drive the economy into the ground so bad that they can't manage keeping that many people both incarcerated and alive.

@RegGuy @zombiewarrior @hosford42 @AnnaAnthro I thought that was the distinction between Nazi concentration camps and Nazi death camps... In the concentration camps, they were being held hostage and forced to work and also dying from overworking and bad conditions. In the death camps, they were being killed as like, the whole point. But all of what we're seeing right now seems REALLY in line with Nazi concentration camps to me

@zombiewarrior I won't argue that part. But from what we've seen, they are being sent to prisons where they become forced labor, not death camps. The primary difference between a gulag and Nazi concentration camps.
To be clear, neither is acceptable AT ALL.
