   Protesters choose to block and threaten people in a vehicle, people in the cars do not get to choose and end up being victims if they don't run over them. It's threatening and I can't blame someone for trying to protect their own life or the life of their family and passengers.

     I wouldn't go that far, but the moment they start crowding a car and preventing free movement, and especially if they're acting in a threatening manner by assaulting the vehicle with people in it, I think they should be seen as the violent threat they are and it's a viable self-defense at that point. Any reasonable jury should understand that, and I think that should probably be written into law explicitly in addition to the freedom of movement that is already in the Constitution.

     From a legal perspective, driver needed to wait until a window was cracked or broken. He's going to have a difficult time arguing he was in fear of his life. That's the sad reality. He'll probably get 6~8 months for assault and spend $10k on lawyers and lose his car.
     
     The protests are designed to divide Americans. Biden and Trump were two parts of the same game. One let in tons of illegals, the other deports them without due process or habius corpus. Both sides are literally screaming for their own brand of authoritarianism.
