Sounds like bullshit but I believe it.

What exactly would the Among Us studio be charged with if they didn't change the cross color? I'd like to see that silly bullshit actually get pursued.

Developing a video game that literally violates the Geneva Conventions sounds like something to put on the cover instead of bought journo reviews.

@Hoss @Hyperhidrosis that's a real thing yeah. You get into similar trouble with the FCC for not including certain features with voice chat IIRC

@Hoss @binkle @Hyperhidrosis Still can’t get over the cultural vandalism of Doom having green crosses in the current official port. It’s literally just two red lines, how is that trademark-able?

This sounds like something that could be challenged on 1st Amendment grounds but is such a retarded triviality that nobody in their right mind would ever piss away massive amounts of money fighting it.

I didn't know this is a thing today, but being told "CHANGE THE COLOR OF THAT CROSS CHUD YOU'RE LITERALLY VIOLATING THE HECKIN' GENEVA CONVENTIONS REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE" would make me not want to comply out of spite.

@Hoss @binkle @Hyperhidrosis No one except the Red Cross apparently. Literally what good did this do them?

@BionicNigga @Hoss @binkle @Hyperhidrosis Johnson and Johnson can use it too. Not only that, they sued the red cross over it and won (I think).

@BionicNigga @binkle @Hoss @Hyperhidrosis their argument is that showing the red cross everywhere trivializes the importance of the symbol, and if not shown proper respect, it could lead to things like medics on battlefields being killed more often.

@noyoushutthefuckupdad @binkle @BionicNigga @Hoss @Hyperhidrosis It's a silly argument because people just see it as "help", and video games reinforce that if anything.

@Hoss @Hyperhidrosis Nothing, if in the US. The basics is that in the US it's generally legal to use it unless people can be misled by it's use (so don't spray it on a van and then drive it around during an emergency situation). What would probably happen is that they would instead try to limit it's sale outside the US. It's easier to just change the color.
Outside the US the story might be different though.

@Hoss @binkle @BionicNigga @Hyperhidrosis it’s just gay redditors and twitter people that get outraged over that shit. Geneva Convention doesn’t even apply to civilians anyway, they’re dumb and fags.
