@prex this means that by following @index you are basically directly following what they publish on their site. It's not a separate social media account, it's part of the same system that displays the website.
It doesn't get more direct than that.
@Sibshops 404media uses Ghost as their web hosting system, and Ghost supports ActivityPub now.
EVERYBODY :fediverse: PARTY !
from the bottom of my heart, this gives me hope. In our (pinned) talk from before US election I had a last warning about Elmo. My conclusion was if media organisations do not use ActivityPub to create new solutions, "they are guilty too" where my voice became broken, sad and desperate.*
Thank you so much 💖 404 / @josephcox
I am always willing to help with the protocol anytime voluntarly!
[*maybe said Open Protocols but Talk was about AP]
@liaizon @mariusor @feed we can have *some* nice things :blobcathappypaws:
@rysiek I think an "Update" for the new preferred username went through to all instances and it's basically the same actor.
@liaizon
@liaizon both seem to work for me, and provide the same timeline
Looks like they changed their handle from @feed to @feed since you posted this @rysiek
@rysiek @prex @index@404media.co It's definitely possible, as I do this for my @blog / https://derickrethans.nl/archive.html — it does likes and replies, but not replies to replies (yet).
@prex that depends on how exactly is that set up on their side. My guess would be: probably not, but maybe they have some internal way of handling their ActivityPub inbox.
@index@404media.co
@rysiek and if I reply to a post by @index@404media.co does my reply appear on the website comment section?
I'm a bit confused by this
@index
just btw:
The ActivityPub Actor does not show an avatar yet in the fedi.
If you click "Profile" in the right ghost nav, you can set e.g. your logo as profile picture.
This is probably just the handle.
webfinger is not part of ActivityPub.
Probably both webfingers resolve to the "index" ActivityPub Actor.

@rysiek @index@404media.co
Weird. You edited the toot and changed 'index' to 'feed' in the fedi handle to 404 media.
So I received a mastodon 'edited a post' notification that in the display text reflects that. However when I hover over that with my mouse it still points to the 'index' handle, and same when replying.
'Open original page' shows everything as I'd expected it to be.
@smallcircles @rysiek @feed hey @hongminhee did you see this?
Yes, that is a bug, right? Your latest reply still has that same behavior.
@smallcircles huh!
