   Appeal Court rules that Ontario Health Insurance Plan Must Pay for Surgery to Give a Trans individual BOTH a Penis and Vagina

   The Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP) had refused to cover the cost of surgery at a Texas clinic to construct a vagina while sparing the penis, a procedure this is not available anywhere in Canada

   Because the vaginoplasty would not be accompanied by a penectomy, the procedure isn’t one specifically listed in OHIP’s Schedule of Benefits.

     @KeepTakingTheSoma The public health system (OHIP) did say no, and went to court. The judicial system said yes three times, on appeal.

     I think that DEI “training” of lawyers and judges was one of their most nefarious and effective strategies, ensuring that we will be dealing with this shit (pun intended) for years to come.
