     All this stuff comes from the FSF boston office that was closed last year. The FSF is an online-only organization now.

     @sun Tbh it's really frustrating to see the FSF getting so little funding's since forever compared to the quarter billion the linux foundation gets while they are themselves dependent on the fsf's work.

     @mangeurdenuage@shitposter.world @sun@shitposter.world Yes, I'm pretty sure the lack of donations and sponsorships in the recent few years is partly caused by the rms defamation campaign.
     
     But I do want to say that it was probably not his personal decision to get rid of the office, that is a misconception. The FSF is financially a completely independent organization from Stallman.

     @mangeurdenuage @icedquinn @sun i think things aren't as bleak as they are made to look. we have much new software licensed AGPL, GNU still works and is key, they aren't even close to replacing GNU. i use the same software i used 20 years ago, except with less bugs, as it should be.
