     Well, you wouldn't know one way or the other if "DOGE has arrived" from a don't-know-if-this-is-real post, now would you?

     But you can certainly deconstruct it and tell easily enough that it is real, but not genuine, and likely not from an OPM employee.

     It is more like Pennywise from Stephen King's IT, taking the form of something harmless and tragic in order sow sympathy and create doubt.

     Elon Musk's personal audit team moved beds into the OPM's office on Jan. 20th.

     They haven't left.

     They locked out all the career civil service last week.

     Musk has confirmed that it is a team of 22 to 24-year-old super genius AI programmers using the most advanced AI tools to search out fraud.

     The rest of the post fits with my personal experience, so I think it is true.

     That's my take.

     Surely.

     But the messaging in the don't-know-if-this-is-real text is about creating doubt in the minds of those who conflate cutting shady spending and useless people from government, the will of a president as the will of one man, and the will of the people who demanded this change being embodied by the actions of a president.

     It intends to promote the image of an autocrat, and not a president doing exactly what he was elected to do.

     It's propaganda.

     Many moons ago, around my second molt I was in the cafeteria pondering getting a newspaper with my breakfast. The helpful government employee behind me instructed me that, 'this one is all the news that's fit to print, and that one is a pack of partisan bullshit.'
