@Faelyn I don’t have a deep bench. This is the same woman who a few months ago described a (white) friend of hers as “blonde hair, blue eyes, like Hitler would totally love him. He’s totally the Aryan ideal.” Which seemed like an incredibly weird way to talk about a friend. But somehow calculated. Like she’s attempting to be edgy and irreverent but totally PC (whiteness = bad) at the same time.

At least the people I hung out with last night were only briefly obnoxiously political. About twenty minutes in someone wanted to show off her anti-trump bump sticker. Later on, same woman (white) felt the need to … jokingly? … point out how she was the only white person at the table and how proud of herself she was to have such diverse friends. Which is kind of creepy? Are we all just trophies of diversity to her?
