Making remote workers all come back to working in an office at once is an easy way to make a bunch of them quit.
I've read that 15% to 20% quit in similar scenarios, and I think that's the goal.
Yesterday Trump was talking about sending huge groups of IRS agents to work on the Mexico border which should have a similar effect.
If people won't resign, making them miserable is an effective move even if it is harsh.
