@steffo This would be a nightmare for collectors. (Note this is only rumor right now)

@tom I agree. Plus, this will absolutely launch on original Switch as well, because Nintendo likes money.

But I'm curious what you think about the box size? ;-)

@killyourfm Metroid Prime feels a little niche to be the title the switch 2 launches on

@tom Oh, absolutely too big as it is! Nintendo should go back to DS-sized cases. But know what's interesting? The Switch game box size is about equal to the size of the tablet display. So if they continue that with Switch 2...

@killyourfm haha- I just assumed it was enlarged to make it the significant part of the image

My collection sits on a shelf next to a bunch of variety sized books, so I don't think I mind it (but the switch box is already too large for what it contains tbh)

@radio_alergy I definitely think it'll be a dual release. Nintendo likes money and won't ignore ~150million Switch owners.

Curious though, what do you think about the box size?

@killyourfm Metroid Prime 4 is not a Switch game. Switch 2 or maybe it is a dual release like Breath Of Wild was for Wii U and Switch 1.

@killyourfm I think the box size increase that is shown is maybe too much. Maybe the design of the case will change, but I don't know about those proportions.

@jnv @tom YES!!! I've been thoroughly enjoying the little full-color manuals in Evercade boxes, and I'm with you. Hope these make a comeback.

@ReverseModule Well Metroid 4 itself has been announced and is planned for a 2025 release, so get hyped.

Curious what you think about the box size as well?

@ReverseModule Thanks for sharing! I truly hope Nintendo brings back the game manual. A bigger box isn't needed to do that (just look at Evercade and ModRetro Chromatic box sizes), but for my aging eyes it's appreciated haha.

@killyourfm I don't mind the box being bigger. Imo it gives it more "prestige". A smaller case is kinda like a toy but that may be just me.

Also, if that means a proper handbook like I saw someone else mention that I'm 1000% for it. I bought FF VII Rebirth Collector's Edition just so I can have the physical box and everything included in it, while knowing that I will properly play the title on PC.

      TLDR: I'm a fan of a bigger box. :)
