Maybe I don't understand what they mean by this, but how could this not be about cost-cutting? Isn't that what it is when you cut labor costs because you think AI can do that labor cheaper?

It would be funny, and I expect relatively easy, to fork foaas and add an ActivityPub json renderer

Actually, am I dumb? A c2s setup would just attach the attributedTo before delivering the Note, right?

I expect it'd need an attributedTo in order for Mastodon to accept it as a real note(?) which would mean it would need an Actor as well which would be a lot more work. But this is funny as is I think

Went on a road trip to Massachusetts and almost immediately half of Columbus lost power, which is why all the tomkahe.com bots went offline the last few days. Gotta get some sort of UPS to prevent this in the future. Everything should be up and running as of last night though

@julian I do think there's a bigger issue here, if a significant number of users are not understanding discoverability settings then we have to figure out a way to explain that functionality better.

If we fall back to every ActivityPub app/server having a unique discoverability configuration then we will have a situation where nobody understands the settings.
