@killyourfm it used to be seals, then stamps and now I guess you put stickers to mark something as official.
I miss stamps, they give everything much more theatrical weight.
(hope they leave you alone)

@killyourfm @brendan you made me look up what my local imax charges. Normal cinema is 20.- (~25USD). IMAX is 30.- (38USD). All things considered it seems IMAX isn't that much of an upcharge. Though our cinemas here are still struggling pretty hard.
@killyourfm it's crazy to me how we just get all the streams as part of the public broadcaster here and some other places have a shittier version behind a paywall (oh wait, I pay for the public broadcaster too. But I think that's fine actually). But uh, maybe a VPN is the better investment then? 🤔 (Not sure what for example the beeb does since you'd want decent english broadcasts)
@killyourfm I still remember when getting WiFi to work on Linux was even worse than on windows (though I often ended up burning a CD or copying windows drivers to a thumb drive on a library PC or similar after some catastrophic thing happened to my windows install). Then intel made wifi chipsets and it all became fine? That's roughly how I remember it... (Broadcom still has a tainted name for me)
@killyourfm that's quite the user/company name they picked.
@killyourfm that pronounciation is reminding me of one of my favorite english place names, Beaulieu (which is French for nice place), and yet, as wikipedia puts it, the name is pronounced as "bew-lee" in the local tongue... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beaulieu,_Hampshire
@glow We all know ads use secret bandwidth and secret hardware so they always play flawlessly.
@glow (also making me want to continue https://github.com/freaktechnik/fis-falsch even though I'd essentially want to start from scratch at this point)
@glow the goal was to make a form where you can report when the FIS (Fahrgastinformationssystem) is either not working or wrong to get an ideo of how reliable it actually is.
Since then the state has launched some QA program of their own where real riders do qa assessments of the public transport in general so I've been less interested in the idea.
@killyourfm oh, your list also doesn't have the more general push for getting office 365 apart from onedrive.
@killyourfm The notifications that something about my pc is insecure, whether it's that windows defender hasn't done a full scan within the last 12 seconds or that I'm not using the windows backup solution etc. I get at least one of them every time I dare to boot windows. Especially the defender ones are so stupid... just fix it quietly, if you know how to.
@killyourfm I think there's so much more hidden there. Just look at the date...
@killyourfm box adjusted to inflation
@killyourfm is it "RetroArch by the way"?
Sometimes we forget language is just made up bullshit and take the pretend-consensus way too seriously.

Low FPS are just an artistic choice to let you marvel at every frame for longer.
