That is ass backwards lol.
The reality is that, someone you love can become your enemy, and it is incredibly hard to cut off your feelings of love.
I've experienced this, and I have seen others experience it.
If you are "choosing to love" then it isn't love at all, it is just an imitation.

@hazlin @d0c40r0 @transgrammaractivist @ForbiddenDreamer @MisterLister @nierenstein You can't love others without loving yourself nigga
If you're letting yourself be abused or antagonized or whatever by someone you hold deep affection for, that's not love that's called being retarded

love is a feeling of devotion that comes from a lifetime of mutual servitude. it endures because it has endured, not because the feeling suddenly materialized one day and just didn't go away

@d0c40r0 @WoodshopHandman @transgrammaractivist @ForbiddenDreamer @MisterLister Nah dude love is just a thing that happens to you which is why it's not anybody's fault when it fizzles out and I get my 16th divorce

Love is a feeling, that does not fade. I've seen it endure through abuse, logic, poverty... It simply does not fade if it is true love.
Modern culture pushes people to marry out of lust or conquest, but those feelings do fade. These vanities fade with consummation.
Chasteness and time, are require to figure out if the other person loves you, or if it is something else drawing you to them.

@d0c40r0 @transgrammaractivist @ForbiddenDreamer @MisterLister No but I would hate myself forever for marrying a girl I don't love

Love, though a primal feeling, is also a choice
You withhold love because you feel as though you are incapable of reciprocating it when in reality it is your own mind that stops you from doing it

@d0c40r0 @transgrammaractivist @ForbiddenDreamer @MisterLister Real answer is I'm lonely and affection starved and I have moments where I'm selfish enough to take girls up on their offers knowing full-well that I'll eventually have to break their hearts

but ignoring opportunity to "work on yourself" is similarly retarded

@d0c40r0 @transgrammaractivist @ForbiddenDreamer @MisterLister @WoodshopHandman @nierenstein @hazlin it's complex. saying you are "working on yourself" can be an excuse to avoid finding a girl, which is almost always painful because it comes with a number of failures and rejections.
Also thinking you need to be "better" to find love is simply not true.
All you kings are good enough for love.

@sickburnbro @d0c40r0 @transgrammaractivist @ForbiddenDreamer @MisterLister @WoodshopHandman @nierenstein @hazlin I'm calling BS.
I would definitely need to make drastic improvements that I'm too lazy and disinterested to do in order to find love. But I'd be fine with being used as the example of Don't Let This Happen to You.

@RaHoWaJoe @d0c40r0 @transgrammaractivist @ForbiddenDreamer @MisterLister @WoodshopHandman @nierenstein @hazlin Good enough doesn't mean you *can* or *will* find it. But it means don't hate yourself and say that you are unworthy.
But as I always tell people, working on yourself whether it is learning or exercising are always important.
