翠星石 (suiseiseki@freesoftwareextremist.com)'s status on Wednesday, 27-Nov-2024 21:47:07 JST 翠星石 @Yoruka @djsumdog @meowski @Zergling_man It came to me in a dream.
All Android devices are dependent on proprietary software running on a mobile chipset and also for proprietary drivers for the peripherals like the touchscreen.
The only distribution that has bothered to replace proprietary drivers with free replacements is Replicant; https://replicant.us/
People love claiming that IOMMU solves everything, but really the mobile chipset starts up first and then decides to enable IOMMU or not on most devices. -
