Now we get Peter Thiel backed JD Vance (not his real name, also a discount hillbilly) and his technocrat buddies to push biometic IDs (to protect the border!) and probably digital currency too (no you can trust it. It's private and libertarian!)
Trump of 2016 is dead. We get discount CIA technocrat. We'll see if it matters, but I suspect Orange Man backers will now apologize for insane anti-liberty policies.
I fell like I'm watching WWF. Trump was the heel. -

I am expecting very little towards my preferred Ancapistan but ill take he resounding rebuke of the Political Eliterati's body politic that is now spurting the last of it' life blood out and leaving the M$M in it's coffin ready to be buried.

I don't know what sort you think would be in a position to feel any need to apologize.
I'm more boosted about what Trump being in means for what the actual American people will be able to do. LEt's say he just continues his for every 1 new regulation remove 2. How about cutting the wait time for Space X rockets? Stop funding Ukraine? The border will be better

djsumdog (djsumdog@djsumdog.com)'s status on Thursday, 07-Nov-2024 00:35:50 JST djsumdog Also I doubt he'll remove any regulations. That's not really even in his ability to do, unless you're talking specifically about executive orders (Biden rescinded most of Trump's when he entered, so it's probably par-the-court for ever president going forward now).
If he stops funding Ukraine, it will all just go to Israel instead. I don't see him being able to stop Israel. No one is that powerful. If he does, the CIA/Mossad might try a non-staged assassination attempt instead, but I don't give him that much credit.
Honestly all I care about is him freeing the Jan 6th political prisoners. Although I bet the current admin will do that before they leave to take credit and control the narrative, just like Assange.

djsumdog (djsumdog@djsumdog.com)'s status on Thursday, 07-Nov-2024 01:27:58 JST djsumdog I said "most." Biden kept some of the Trump tariffs that helped US manufacturers.
Some of the Obama era stuff couldn't be rescinded because it literally gave people new rights. An example was DACA. Obama's team basically said, "Tell us if you came here as kids illegally and nothing will happen to you; here are some papers."
This is a grant of "equitable entitlement." Imagine if, after Lincoln, the next president rescinded the emancipation proclamation. You're now taking away a granted right. (that particular point is moot since that proclamation didn't actually free all slaves and Congress passed a real law not long after, but I digress).
It's a Pandora's Box, and should really be beyond the limits of executive power. It's the same with the Obergefell decision. Even if you're for marriage equality, it should have come from Congress and not the Supreme Court. Justice Alito has a very well written dissent about it. Laws should come from legislation, not from the executive (that would make them a King) or from Judges. -

Iirc Trump tried to rescind all of Obama's last time but was blocked in the courts. The ratchet only turns one way
