     I remember her getting thrown under the bus, but I assumed she was a fall girl. Guess she may have been negligent? Honestly who knows in these situations. Maybe she was, maybe she wasn't. I have very little faith in the courts when it comes to the people with money around them.
     
     No matter how negligent she was, Baldwin lied. He had to have been holding the trigger down for the hammer to be able to slam into the bullet at speed. Maybe he was doing it so it would be easier for the shot. He could have just said so; honest (but stupid) mistake.
     
     With the way things play out in Hollywood, who the fuck knows with these people.

     They're cases when they save lives. There are cases where they fuck things up too. The body camera has been a massive change to accountability. In low income communities where they are allowed do to their jobs, they can help the people who need it most.
     
     It's a mixed bag. I have friends who are police. One was kinda shitty to his wife, but overall I think they all try to do what was right.
     
     I'd rather live in a world with in-perfect cops than in Somalia.

     If your local municipality laid off 10% of their cops - and be generous, give them 2 months' pay of severance - what would those cops do professionally? Would they find work as private security or personal bodyguards? Would there even be enough market demand to hire them in that sector?

     I don't see the argument. Just because they have a limited subset of skills doesn't mean their work as municipal cops isn't worthwhile. You ever watch Donut Operator on the YouToobs? Watch some of the shooting videos and you can see just how shitty and dangerous certain morons in our population are.
     
     If I was laid off tomorrow and there was no software engineering work anywhere, where the fuck would I be? Sure I could work in a grocery store or factory, but I ain't gonna pay my mortgage with that.
