   I had a fever dream once that Metroid Prime 4 was in development for so long because Nintendo was trying to make it a proper AAA game using VR and their labo set. You'd buy the game and it would come with a switch-headset holder and funny cardboard arm cannon which holds the joycons. When playing you would press buttons within the arm cannon which would activate the joycon buttons to do actions, and combinations would activate stuff like different beams exactly like how you can see her arm in xray in the first game.

   It sounds lame when written down because lmao labo but I would absolutely play the shit out of this concept. I've been dying for new control schemes that aren't standard controllers for a long time. It's why the Wii was such a hot success; the closest approximate to VR without the nausea.

     It's also an extra layer of effort to solidify how I felt playing Metroid Prime back on the GameCube so long ago. That game is immersive as hell, and the idea of swiping between visors and seeing the heat emanating from doors or rain droplets on your actual visor as you look up, or turning on X-Ray and seeing your (models) skeleton beneath you would be absolutely fascinating. That's the VR experience I'm waiting for someone to make.

     @veff As a reccomendation play prime trilogy with the upscaled textures on primehack (a modded dolphin emu fork).

     But to be honest i'm not really surprised with the development time of prime 4, technically metroid 5 (dread) has been on and off development hell since like 2 or so years after the release of metroid fusion and zero mission, nintendo legitimately wanted to have both a 2d metroid and a metroid prime on the DS but only got prime hunters and prime pinball...

San's voice actress just sounded bored and pretentious, where as the Japanese voice actress sounded more primal and aggressive. I think everyone else was find though.
