   second night of a dry scratchy throat that I can never quench with cold water. I definitely got a head cold going on here, just not sure if I'll fight it off or if I'll have to deal with the whole miserable experience for the next week.

     If you can get any ivermectin, it really does work and on most any virus. You have to use it at the first sign though.
     
     Otherwise, zinc and vitamin D. And Iodine if you don't have hashimotos.

     @Humpleupagus this might be a stupid question now that covid is over, but I'm really not sure where I would get ivermectin. that is, a trusted source of what is actually ivermectin.

     Duramectin is ivermectin for horses. You can get it on Amazon. It's legit.

     @Humpleupagus @haberdasher Ivermectin is a muracle drugbinvented by the japanese back in 1965. Suppose to cut down on 75% of cancer. And can be made flr 10$ a pill manufacture wise.

     There's different antiparasitics. I've never heard of invermectin for cats. The nice thing with the horse paste is the dose is the same for humans pound for pound, so there's no math involved.

     It's an antiparasitic, and a pretty good one. There were some studies done that showed general anti-viral efficacy, but the catch is that you need to take absurd dosages to get those effects, dosages that verge on being dangerous. The people who rushed out to take normal dosages of ivermectin because they caught the sniffles did no harm to themselves, but it didn't help them get over the sniffles any more than placebo. (Though it probably cleaned out a bunch of parasites and made them healthier overall, but that's beside the point.) The people who read the studies and rushed out and took very large doses of ivermectin to fight the sniffles were buying raffle tickets to the Darwin Awards.

     There are viruses that it might make sense to try to fight with ivermectin, but the flu ain't one. More closer to ebola than a cough.

     I dunno if it really works, but my dad insisted I take some of the tablets he got his hands on. Can't hurt you at the normal therapeutic dose though. All the fear mongering came from retards who took a dose hundreds of times larger than what you'd normally be prescribed.
