This basically means either deep inside or luck.

@sickburnbro >It's impossible to see Donald in passing at the golf course and decide to grab your rifle.

@BroDrillard In theory a last minute change like that means less protection detail, which would mean perfect timing.
But it's also possible that this guy just spent every waking second patrolling around the edge of the course. He seems to have been very involved with Ukraine and stuff - so either he gave that up and was doing this all the time .. or that becomes a near impossibility.

Deep inside.
No assassin that wants to succeed throws away his single chance hoping his target will be at a given location at a random time.

@Suiseiseki Yes, that's a possibility, but the chances of that are very slim. You'd need reasonable visibility from a non-direct-access road. This is not a common feature of golf courses.

One would think security notices a person that keeps hanging around the location they're protecting. It's not like this guy had a dozen different cars, etc.
The only possible non-insider explanation would be if he had some wantage point a bit further away and he was observing from there with binoculars. In that case why was such an obvious perch not checked by security?

@BroDrillard yeah. which is also possible, but florida and "vantage point" don't really rhyme.

@BroDrillard And additionally, one would *think* that his own golf course would do these kind of standard procedures after he had already almost been killed.
Also - not guaranteed - but we're playing with probabilities here.

@ForbiddenDreamer @BroDrillard it's not impossible that he hates trump, talked about killing him, was driving by and sees all the security and says "I'm gonna do it" - goes home, gets his stuff and returns.
But - that's a very specific set of events.

@BroDrillard @sickburnbro I mean who the shit just looks out the window of their car and goes 'omfg is that Donald Trumpfk 1200 yards away from me?? I'm just gonna pull this ar45 assault rifle out of my back seat and bag myself a president.'

@sickburnbro @ForbiddenDreamer @BroDrillard didn't he live in hawaii?

@EssentialUtinsil @ForbiddenDreamer @BroDrillard I haven't spent any time digging into it, so I'm not sure. I've heard Hawaii referenced, but not sure what that means.

@EvilSandmich @BroDrillard florida is "this is flat enough to land our spaceship traveling at ridiculous speeds" flat.
This is true if you had like 10 stories you could get very unobstructed views from very far away. But in florida outside of like shit, maybe Miami, the only place you're going to realistically get that is a hotel. Which I could imagine could be near the golf course.

@sickburnbro @BroDrillard Florida is pretty (really) flat though. A couple floors off the ground a mile or two away might have been enough. The fact that he didn't try to disguise himself or his rifle though would seem to infer that if he couldn't get it online with minimal effort that he wasn't going to do it.

@Squadalah_Man one side does have palms which allows views onto the course.

@sickburnbro Saw a map of the area. Outside chance the guy was gonna camp out for awhile (maybe days) and wait. But instead got his shot immediately, or was rushed because he got caught.
I'm more in the camp people on the inside want the orange man ded and leaked his location.
