i dunno if they were fake or not, but one time i ordered a couple pairs of pants off amazon, all the same size and brand, and one was absurdly too smol but labeled the same. like i'm kinda short and ~125 pounds but i wouldn't have been able to wear these pants past age 10 smol.

I got new balance shoes from the official retailer. Guess what, they were just very convincing counterfeits and they fucked up my knees for a month.
I got a phone what what looked to be a reputable seller (that model was no longer sold through official channels). What arrived was a functional phone that seemed okay, but a month later AT&T starts harassing me saying that my device is from unknown origin, they have literary never seen this IMEI before and they can't offer service to it after changes on their network.
