@BadOptniks @James_Dixon @patris @JohnYoungE @Escoffier @Sulla_Felix @somemightsay In keeping with the Apostolic way of doing things, we received the entire Deposit of Faith when Christ taught His Disciples, and these earliest interactions were mostly recorded in a series of books we call “the New Testament” nowadays.
While this document is of the highest, most central written authority, it is by no means exhaustive, for:
> “This is the disciple which testifieth of these things, and wrote these things: and we know that his testimony is true. And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen.”
~ John 21:24-25 KJV

@BadOptniks @James_Dixon @patris @JohnYoungE @Escoffier @Sulla_Felix @somemightsay Also relevant:
> “These things write I unto thee, hoping to come unto thee shortly: but if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, *which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.*
> And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.”
~ 1 Timothy 3:14-16 KJV
