The Reformation itself was an historical phenomenon, i.e. social, political, cultural, even economic. What would you say is the common thread theologically? What would separate "Reformed Theology" from that of other protest movements, whether prior or contemporary, Bogomils, Cathars, Anabaptists etc.

It's an interesting organization that takes everything they find useful in religions/cultures and meshes it into a somewhat coherent belief structure.      The first form of liberalization was far more insidious than the outright sodomization of the Presbytarian Church of the USA. The first form of liberalization was the forsaking, by heretical Modernists in the 1930's, of the Word as the ultimate standard for church and allowing of "Christianized" secular humanism into the pulpit and seminaries. J. Gresham Machen saw this, preached against it, was forsaken for it, and created the Orthodox (little "o") Presbyterian Church. The PCA came about when the Southern churches of the PCUS, similar to the now liberal PCUSA, saw their denomination beginning to do the same, but this time forsaking the foundational confessions of the Reformed tradition in favor of "modern friendly" (read liberal and gay) revisionist confessions in the 1940's and 50's :jahy_smart:

He told me his church is very traditional and they had a sister church for a while that was collapsing because of its libtardation. When you build a foundation on sand, it doesn't last. When you offer nothing different from secular society, people don't stay.
