     @CloudyMrs tend not to think the majority adore him, but there is still this section in society who still think like colonialists and of England ruling the world and are racist towards anyone not white English. If they were in the USA they’d be the MAGA mob. The less educated wear it on their sleeve, the politically aware hide it behind closed doors. He manipulates the former and the latter fund him. Sadly the BBC platform him - something I’ve never understood.

     @CloudyMrs There's a lot to unpack with Farage, but I remain utterly perplexed as to how anyone can listen to a public school educated millionaire ex-stockbroker rant about "the elite" and "the establishment" and think him in any way credible.

     @capnthommo but why? Scots are also horrified, but only the absolute loonies would consider anything other than chasing him out of town. He's odious. In England, they bussed themselves in from all over the place and made a day of it. The media turned up in droves to record his every bile filled utterance and they're insisting on sharing the whole thing, UK wide.

He also knows what to say to get your racist aunt or uncle to think that their less savoury views are acceptable to start spewing in public...

     @CloudyMrs the danger is if he wins Clacton he will have a bigger platform and you can see Reform getting greater traction in England. Just need to look at Le Pen and Wilders in France & the Netherlands. Been a slow burn but they do have considerable support. Add to that the influence from the far right in the USA which will only increase if Trump is sucessful.
