   Holy shit. I've had Child Tax Credit for years. One form. Sorted.
   Been shifted onto Universal Credit and Oh My Good God. This is a benefit I know our household is entitled to claim, but we are going to withdraw the application. We need to submit about 40 separate bits of information, in the right order on the right minute of the right day, or we will "be sanctioned." Just fuck the fuck off. We will be skint, but we will manage. Imagine if that was your job? Soul free zone.

     @FiStitchWitch the language at first contact is absolutely appalling. I work full time and always have, but apparently, I need a "work coach", and if I fail to comply with all instructions to jump when they say so, I will be "sanctioned". Instructed to attend a meeting in the middle of Aberdeen at 2 days notice. Partner is worse. He can't walk far but is also instructed to make a 2 bus 40 mile round trip and to commit to seeking work. All this for £20 odd a week to replace child tax credit.

     @CloudyMrs I honestly don't blame you for withdrawing. It was due to the tax credit changes that I ended up on UC, its been hell. Every appointment with them destroys my mental health a little bit more.
     Ashamed to say I worked for DWP years back, before UC, when they brought in phone claims...and the systems in place then, well, I was up before my line manager every week for breaking the rules they had in place.
