  If I may point out that up until a few centuries ago it was perfectly normal to give women away in marriage as soon as they reached the flower of their age. So 12-14. Boys usually 14-16.
  
  The Bible never specifically states a age but that was the norm for pretty much everyone. The whole purpose for marriage was to procreate and spread further. So technically as soon as a woman was able to have kids she was seen as "of age". Pushing that back to 18-20 and even 30s now is a recent development.
  
  Is 12-14 practical now days? No there no reason for it IMO. Should a 40yo hit up a 13 to? Again, not needed now days but it did happen back then and really there is no moral fault as far as the Bible states.
  
  20 with 40 is well beyond reasonable. Both adults.
  
  Just figured that if we were going to moral fag about it I would point out that morally there is no wrong in what Dan would do so long as he remained married to her.

  I'd be suspicious of a 40 year old dating my 20 year old because why aren't they married yet? What is their intention? Is my son or daughter going to be a notch on their bedpost? Will they be traded for a younger model later?
  
  Or even more worrisome has my child been taken in by modern hookup culture behind my back and is the middle aged one going to be a notch?
  
  I was zogged out when I was young and I kept it hidden from my family. Regret it now, regret taking advantage of 30 and 40 year old divorcees, and would regret not stopping them from making the same mistakes.
  
  I wouldn't stop it, but 18-22 would probably get a glare from me. A camping trip and a gun in their face to make it clear what will happen if they fuck and forget.

  I don't worry about what current day christians think. I go further back and see what the church as a whole practiced and knew. The evidence is clear, they knew who and what the jews were. That is one thing Catholicism got right.

I had a bunch of arguments with another guy I respected who was a left authoritarian and he changed my perspective.
  
  The con inc types don't appreciate me playing contrarian and devil's advocate on their propaganda, but I do this because I don't find their ideology persuasive. And I still don't. Anytime I challenge these guys on it, for example as I did on poast, they snowflake hard about it.
