   They show up being cartoon bad guys posing as a military force that can somehow match against world powers, their entire chain of command gets destroyed either by Goku, a friend of Goku's or someone else in the organization, they become extinct for a long ass time until Dr. Gero comes up outta fucking NOWHERE and goes "imma go make me some fuckin' cyborgs and robots and a fucking cicada monster because I have a personal grudge against Goku for some reason" and then he ALSO gets murdered by his own creations no less, and then those two motherfuckers in the Super Hero movie show up and... CAN'T THEY JUST STAY DEAD ALREADY? WHAT'S NEXT? PUNISHED "VENOM" COMMANDER BLACK COMES OUT OF NOWHERE AND REBUILDS THE ENTIRE ARMY TO BE A PLAGUE ON EARTH ONCE MORE??

     "Mestizo" is its own thing separate from Castizos and a trillion other categories.

     The Whiter ones wanted "Hispanic" in the U.S. as a category. People fresh from Spain and Portugal (i.e., 100% White) are not allowed to use it in the census or for affirmative action/DEI shit.

     In the US they just mean the "Hispanics" from down south.

     how many different ethnicities are there south (and now north) of the Rio Grande? probably too many.

     some almost wholly White; some almost wholly Amerindian of the Mesoamerican kind; some niggers; some expat populations of Japanese, Germans, Palestinians, etc; mixtures of a lot of this.

     does "Hispanic" exist as a category in Latin American countries? it came to exist in the US, as a distinct category, after it was made clear that being classified as White didn't have as many advantages as being classified as some kind of brown or black in the 1960's..

     as for Dr. Gero he was a loyal believer of what Red Ribbon represented, he even got his wife and eldest son to become full members of red ribbon (heads up, android 16 is modeled after his son, your guess as to whom the "non canon" android 21 was modeled after, hint it was the other important person to gero), the androids or ell "artificial and enhaced humans" program (how the manga actually classified them) was headed by Dr Gero, gero's eldest son dies when goku destroys one base, his wife dies when goku blows another base (that apparenly got shown in some side story manga and in some discarded dbz scenes), which drives gero mad with vengeance.

     as for the super hero movie, apparently is less bullshit in the manga as a lot of commander red's family was onto red ribbon, for gero his other children were not old enough to join back when goku was destroying the organization.

     as for the time frame, do not forget that goku was like 12 when he took on red ribbon and rn is about 40.

     Instead of "rootless merchants" with no homeland and quite a shifty character about themselves, merchants who are tied to your country somehow (preferably by blood).

If free trade means everybody, you're allowing cheaters (slave labor, frauds, etc.) to outcompete "decency". Relying on merchant class to provide quality checks is dubious, because laundering and bribery exist. Relying on "the market" for the same causes damage to consumers and businesses. Not that I'm a fan of overly complicated bureaucracy, but there are times and places for filters, even self regulatory orgs.
