@Heil_Honkler @sickburnbro Yeah, the original advice fails due to universalist utopianism. Advice for high IQ, high agency people with deeply ingrained morals, and with the experience needed to recognize and avoid ideological landmines, isn't at all useful for anyone who doesn't fulfill all four requirements. Anyone below that threshold (i.e. the vast majority of the population) is going to need various levels of hard firewalling from regime indoctrination.

@BobsonDugnuttHB @Heil_Honkler I think what he is about is "fuck hiding, I don't want to have kids that are hidden away as the insane left shoves us into a smaller and smaller hiding spot"
iirc, he does have kids, so he has skin in this game

@sickburnbro I disagree with his "Just don't raise kids that are open to indoctrination bro" that's not the fucking point. For every kid that is able to ignore it and think for themselves there are thousands who don't. Also not everyone has the toolset or the intelligence to raise their children properly in an environment I.E. the public school system where everything is stacked against you, the parent.

@BobsonDugnuttHB @Heil_Honkler I think we need to have clear and obvious advice for everyone. Not everyone has to be treated the same, but it needs to be clear.

@sickburnbro @Heil_Honkler Sure, and that's fine advice for a very specific segment of the population, and ruinous for other segments.

You'd don't know how many fucking times I've tried to get people to do the right thing cordially only to have to pull out my lawyer card, which I hate doing because it feels douchy.
When I do, I actually feel bad, but not for the guy on the receiving end, but for common people who don't have the luxury of being able to pull that card. They shouldn't have you put up with that shit, and I shouldn't either.

I actually mock lawyers who send me complaints pre-litigation. It happens every now and then..... a lawyer will send a "draft" complaint with a demand letter pre-litigation — "If you don't settle, we'll file this." My usual response is to call them and ask "who does this" and further inquire as to why they didn't just pick up the phone and call me to discuss the parties contentions instead of overbilling their client in some juvenile attempt to scare me. "Ooooh... a complaint, I'm shaking rn." When someone comes on that strong, I usually assume they're bluffing.
