eris (eris@akko.disqordia.space)'s status on Thursday, 05-Oct-2023 02:26:06 JST eris @scathach coming from LA though I'm sure Seattle will seem heavenly in comparison, and I'm definitely more drawn to Washingtons nature so hmm -

lydia :xf_666: 🦂 (lydiaposting@social.xenofem.me)'s status on Thursday, 05-Oct-2023 02:58:14 JST lydia :xf_666: 🦂 @eris @scathach seattle is very green and very woodsy. Downtown Seattle does kinda have that same tree copy pasted everywhere thing, but they're taller and create lots of shade in the summer. It is kind of a technofeudal Amazon Starbucks zone but if you know where to look and what to look for you can find really cool centers of culture and art poking out of the technocapital gunk. Late summer fire season is a problem with smoke and such, but you get that all over the country at this point, especially the pacific coast in general. I think the boredom comes from expense tbh. It's not that there isn't much to do, it's that it costs an arm and leg to do anything. If you can at least hold your own financially, however, it's a much safer, accepting, and accessible place to be than anywhere else in this trite of a nation. Nature is genuinely gorgeous too. Just be ready for the dark wet of winter. Lots of rain and low daylight. eris likes this. -

eris (eris@akko.disqordia.space)'s status on Thursday, 05-Oct-2023 03:08:35 JST eris @triodug @vriska @mono @scathach 😂😂 it just seems like a small town, idk if I could do that. Seattle at least seems to offer the city feel when I need it -

triodug (triodug@fedi.triodug.com)'s status on Thursday, 05-Oct-2023 03:17:53 JST triodug @vriska @eris @mono @scathach there are a few things I like about it though. Solid breweries and heaviest pours in a five bar I've ever seen. Oregon itself is absolutely gorgeous and I do enjoy the areas surrounding Portland. Not enough good to justify all the bad though. eris likes this. -

triodug (triodug@fedi.triodug.com)'s status on Thursday, 05-Oct-2023 03:18:06 JST triodug @eris @vriska @mono @scathach it is 100% a small town pretending to be a big city. Makes me feel very claustrophobic without giving me any benefits of an actual city. But hey you can pay $10 for a shitty coffee made by someone that hates your guts. eris likes this.
