@hikari @ArdainianRight @PhenomX6 @RupertvonRipp @Sprayfoam_Sal @elftummy Sword and Shield were so bad, even the official anime decided to no longer be a promotion of the games, and go their own way instead.
Though to me the games were OK, not much hope for Scarlet and Violet though.
I might try it out in an emulator just for the whole open world stuff, but I don't think I'll ever buy them. -

@ArdainianRight @RupertvonRipp @Sprayfoam_Sal @elftummy @hikari I heard Colo/XD were developed by a developer who didn't even play Pokemon and decided "yeah we'll do whatever we want with this setting since they'll let us do it in the mold".
So those games feel more like console RPGs of the era than Pokemon did and were actually better than "trying to shove the 2d games on 3d consoles". -

Even the new dialed in CoD titles that get shat on aren't even as blatant, and those games have been absolutely been shat on by even CoD fragheads and while this guy is extremely critical of numerous modern CoD games, you can tell this game absolutely fucking broke him in terms of being bottom of the barrel with no fans whatsoever:

No challenge, no actually interesting stories, and other than that it's the same shit over and over again, now complete with DLC, which ruins even catching them all. And that was already a pain in the ass to begin with because of the event legendaries, and then made worse by alternate forms and hidden abilities. New games might as well just be updates to Pokemon Showdown. Even for competitive, there is no reason to use the actual games, they are just a nuisance.
Don't know about the anime, though. I still really like the first three seasons, but the gen 3 anime was bland and pretty boring and I didn't keep up with it after that. I watched some very good episodes of gen 4, and heard that 7 was good, so maybe I could watch it, but other than that nothing. I would rather just rewatch the old episodes from the original writer, or Digimon, which is a completely different thing but people compare the two. It's pointless to watch a show that has no progression at all and is just the same thing over and over again, with characters that are not allowed to grow.
Just play good games instead, games that are actually made to appeal to you and not exclusively for babies that can't even read. Or hacks and fan games. I played gen 1 and 2 this year to do some glitches, but that's all I have done since catching them all in gen 6 because I was just done with it. Other than collecting pictures of the girls, of varying degrees of lewdness. I don't care about the new games at all. I don't even know what the current generation is. Is it 8 or 9? Don't care, most games are old, and always will be, because most things are not made this year, because most years are not this year, because that's how time works.寮 likes this. -

Basically ghost Tomoko, originally, but that's more than good enough to be #1. Kinda funny how the character design that they made that appealed to me the most was an NPC trainer class that became a meme and at this point is more of a fan creation than an actual character. -

It also helps that I can related to them, while I can't relate at all to characters that are normal and the characters that are supposed to be the most relatable to me are typically the least relatable. True, though. But really, anyone that cares about power is going to be a horrible person. Why want power? What is the point? And getting a lot of it pretty much requires psychopathy, and "success" by society's standards in general requires much of the same and is equally pointless.
I think women tend to be more influenced by society, though, and they tend to be statistically more average in everything, so when a society is absolutely horrible and being average means being bottom of the barrel human garbage, women are going to reflect that more while more men are going to see through the bullshit and somehow end up okay. It's even a factor in IQs. Women tend to stay closer to the average while both the stupidest and smartest people are always men. Nature plays it safe with women, they tend to be shaped more by their environment, while men are the test rats to rest new stuff on. Anyway, I hate both, fuck this species. Figuratively. Though the fact is that we got here mostly thanks to psychopathic and sociopathic men and the fact that we don't kill them, and ruining women was just part of the thing that they do, which is ruining everything.
