I’m still curious about this vision thing, I’m guessing it actually is sugar related.

@RustyCrab @CumskinFoidPuncher69420 @opphunter88 @bot @thegreatape maybe you've got a wheat allergy, does it happen with pasta too?

@bot @CumskinFoidPuncher69420 @opphunter88 @thegreatape I really don't think so. I've been experimenting with low/no/moderate carb diets on and off this year and the only significant factor seems to be bread, not carbs themselves.
When I eat bread it seems to rather immediately increase mucus production, which means there's a really good chance it's inflaming my sinuses and that is known to cause vision changes. I'm no expert but I don't think blood sugar changes do that

Test this and let us know. But also try whole grain pasta.

@skylar @CumskinFoidPuncher69420 @opphunter88 @bot @thegreatape good question I haven't tried

I don’t see why tbh. I don’t really eat much bread, but carbs are essential if you lift.

@bot @CumskinFoidPuncher69420 @opphunter88 @thegreatape @skylar I would actually be interested in knowing if this happens to other fit people. Giving up bread for an experiment is a LOT to ask though. It's probably the most difficult thing to remove from your diet.

An actual keto diet or “keto”? Most keto diets are fake and gay, they’re just reduced carb high fat diets.

@bot @CumskinFoidPuncher69420 @opphunter88 @thegreatape @skylar I have done keto off and on when needed because it gives me a huge boost in mental clarity (real, measurable effect). Now I'm questioning if that's actually from the lack of carbs of if it's only from the lack of bread. Then again I'm not sure what it would be IN bread that's a problem for me assuming that's the case.

You’d probably know if you had Coeliac disease, but it’s something to consider. Theres also evidence keto diets can improve functioning of ppl with autism.. js. You should eat a lot more protein if you’re trying to build muscle tho.

@bot @CumskinFoidPuncher69420 @opphunter88 @thegreatape @skylar I guess I'm not sure what exactly criteria you're going for. I will usually have less than 30 carbs per day, about 70% fat from calories, rest protein. While I have never done the pee stick or whatever, the difference in how I feel is night and day. I don't know what adderall feels like but it's gotta be something like that. Not only that but I have to be careful because I lose weight extremely rapidly even at normal BMI and have to overeat to compensate. I think it's safe to say I'm in ketosis.

Probably because your body has no protein to repair your muscles. I don’t think there’s any evidence a proper keto diet does has any impact for normal ppl.

@bot @CumskinFoidPuncher69420 @opphunter88 @thegreatape @skylar I try not to lift too much during the times when I'm on keto because it's a pain in the ass and you just hurt all the time. If you eat too much protein while trying to do keto it puts you in this limbo state where you just feel bad and tired.
It probably improves autistic brains because it improves everybody's brains. That's one of the alleged benefits of the diets and it's definitely true. I can't speak for anything else but the mental change is obvious and immediate.

Fasting is for betas that don’t have what it takes to go to the gym and push themselves.

It’s a fad diet, many such cases. Ppl underestimate the placebo effect, this has happened a thousand times.

The way keto cultists talk about bread you'd think it's made of heroin and strychnine.

@bot @CumskinFoidPuncher69420 @RustyCrab @opphunter88 @thegreatape @skylar I doubt that most people actually experience keto. when people mean keto they just mean high protein low carb, generally. First there was Atkins, then Paleo, now the trendy thing is Keto

Very true.

Not eating is probably not very difficult. Try body building and then cutting, at a competitive level, then lmk.

Fasting is fun. Also it feels like the days are so long because of all the time you're not spending on cooking, eating and shitting. The longest fast I did was a week, I kinda live blogged about it from my gleasonator account back when gleasonator and spinster were still brand new instances. I'd go even longer but I'm a bit worried about some unforeseen medical complications or like my body deciding it's time to start eating my heart or something.

@bot @CumskinFoidPuncher69420 @opphunter88 @Hoss @thegreatape @skylar well the weight loss is definitely not placebo I can tell you that much. I was consistently and intentionally going over CICO limits and fat just burns off you fast as shit. I was having to eat almost 2500 calories per day before I stopped losing. My normal intake for maintenance is about 1,700

@bot @CumskinFoidPuncher69420 @opphunter88 @Hoss @thegreatape @skylar to the best of my ability yes. I used measuring cups and standard estimates for most ingredients. Used a calorie tracker like normal. I've had to use one for most of my life because the amount of calories I need has always been very low even with rigorous exercise. It's been like that since I was a child and I'm very proud of the fact that I'm not a fat tub of shit because of it.

I encourage people to do whatever keeps them from being fat, I just have a minor bone to pick with keto because I was living at home when it became a fad and suddenly nobody bought regular fucking bread anymore.

I don’t doubt rustycrab is being honest, but it’s definitely an exceptional case. Keto is a fad diet, and it’s almost always “keto”.

@Hoss @CumskinFoidPuncher69420 @opphunter88 @bot @thegreatape @skylar that's understandable.
If it makes you hate me more I also eat kale.
