     The last round gave me the long coof. I've had that for 9 months. I got it at the same time as multiple ppl. We all got the long coof. Half vaxxed half not.

     @Tony @jeffcliff @pyrate I got excavated from Lake Tahoe hiking trails for smoke during covid. They walked in and pulled us out of the trails. Then from the town for fires.
     So we tried to evacuate back to the California coast...but to go from east to west of Cali for a good chunk of the State, you have to go through National Parks but it was during covid. There was a 48hr waiting period for park passes...they wouldn't let us evacuate through the park without a pass. 😑
     So we were stuck in Mammoth, that was on fire and under evacuation threat...for 48 hrs...with the hotel warning they we would be evacuated at anytime.
     We final were able to evacuate but we had to drive through active fires to get through.

     Here the "insane bullshit" like "doctors wearing masks when they are in the ER" are removed, even when dealing with other respiratory diseases. The more conservative here are working on legalizing smoking in public places, allowing restaurant workers to not have to wash their hands after going to the bathroom.
     
     That's the legacy that "we get to go back to" so far.
     
     That's the "normal" we are returning to - the normal of women dying in childbirth, the life expectancy dropping, and hospitals being deathtraps due to nocosomial infection.
