I formerly do not support the LGTB community due to blatent agenda driven idealisms.

sim@shitposter.club's status on Wednesday, 24-Aug-2022 22:33:17 JST sim @shebang @SirCandinavian @galena I think the Queers should create their own movement. It seems like it isn't enough to be gay or something. Gay people get erased now. You have to break all boundaries and be inclusive of everything now it seems. Even if that makes you feel uncomfortable and erases your own personal boundaries. -

We got our gay marriage and any LGBT person can get married to whoever they like, mission accomplished. At this point, all it does is serve as a political skinsuit for far-left ideology and as a way to drive up division between people.
I mean thanks to their repeated stunts, I don't ever get to be just another person, I have to be pointed out as something DIFFERENT than normal, even if I consider myself to be otherwise pretty damn normal. -

sim@shitposter.club's status on Wednesday, 24-Aug-2022 22:47:31 JST sim @shebang @SirCandinavian @galena Yeah. I've wondered for a while now... where are the normal people at? Why can't gay people just get to be normal, have normal lives with normal relationships albeit with the same sex? They don't even need to be promiscuous now yet this lifestyle still gets promoted.
In some ways, I think they have moved on from the gay marriage issue. They have left gay people behind. It's not enough to be gay anymore. You have to be queer, you have to be trans. You have to accept these things. Have you seen the literature that they've done to lesbians? I know it sucks for trans women, but why can't lesbians have a preference for just other females? Why must they confuse definitions? I don't know where you stand on that though. It just feels like it will undo the hard work that the gay movement has done, it will destroy the boundaries there. -

Yeah, I don't know what happened. I thought that it wasn't a choice, but a preference that is out of our hands when it comes to our sexuality. Making it a choice undermines this. What is worse though, it seems like they justify conversion therapy now... not only does making it a choice become vindication for the conservatives and justify the discrimination but it justifies conversion therapy towards gay people because we break down what it means to be a lesbian or to be gay.
I agree with you. They have decided that trans rights trump the rights of other minorities or groups that they used to support. Like when it comes to lesbian rights or women's rights. There is more to be gained by pushing trans rights above other groups. But as you say, it shouldn't be at the expense of others. Trans people need their own spaces and support groups for the issues unique to them which they are being failed right now. Likewise other groups may need this.
I do wonder if something can be said about the internet when it comes to the speeds of these things. With the internet comes more exposure. Then again, these things are being broadcast all over now. In the education system, in the media and in politics. In the corporations. It's insane. I don't know how to set the healthy boundaries with this stuff so that it doesn't destroy society or people. Makes me want to distance myself from the LGBT community and the political movements with this.
I think I'd be happy to not have links to the LGBT movement too. As I've gotten older, I just want a normal life with my own personal responsibilities relating to that life and meeting my life goals. So it's nice to find other people that think similarly. Because so often, as you pointed out, I just see the types of people that would be called freaks being represented in the media... but that isn't me. I don't find that relatable. Some of these people just aren't the types of people that I could call good role models, and other people cover up the shit that they've done.
The funny thing is, I do wonder if they've created more conservatives with this attitude where they want to infuriate them further. Just seeing how far they go is very off-putting. -

A major problem the LGBT movement has is the banal fact that when Conservatives meet a LGBT person who is generally speaking, normal, it turns out they don't really care, outside of a few hardcore evangelical types.
So to address this problem of Conservatives not being hateful enough, they come out with songs about "We're coming for your children" and Drag Queen story hour which are explicitly and knowingly created for the specific purpose of infuriating Conservatives into overly broadening their target selection. -

Shebang! :blobpeektrans: (shebang@freespeech.group)'s status on Thursday, 25-Aug-2022 00:13:22 JST Shebang! :blobpeektrans: @sim @SirCandinavian @galena Well, there is a whole lot going on and really none of it is any good.
Back when I was young, the whole thing was "We're born this way, just let us live our lives like everyone else does." then later on, they came up with this sort of gender abolitionist movement (POST MODERNISM) and suddenly it's all a choice -- just like the Conservatives said the whole time -- well done, they just justified all the discrimination we ever faced. Well, I didn't choose shit when it comes to being trans, I ended up wasting half my life trying to force myself not to be, but lies are toxic.
The unfortunately fact about being trans is that we'll never truly fit in anywhere, and never really just be the sex we need to be -- all we can do is get as close as we can and find a way to live with it. But that way can't be to trample other people's rights, and herein lies the problem with the whole movement, it picks and chooses which rights to hold up and which to squash -- certainly with lesbians, they've decided to squash their rights.
Then there is the whole hypocrisy behind the entirety of the trans "rights" movement -- if there is nothing wrong with being trans, then we can't we be transwomen, why the whole "transwomen are women, full stop" line, unless there was something wrong with being different? For all the hug boxes, we KNOW we're different, what irritates me is the built-in assumption that this difference is wrong -- but if it's the immutable trait that it definitely is for anyone who isn't just putting on a costume to piss off dad, then whatever "wrongness" it may or may not possess doesn't bear down upon the individual -- it wasn't their choice after all.
The whole thing is unraveling at incredible speeds -- already the Cons are going on about the "slippery slope" of gay marriage, and that's a direct consequence of the post modernist influences in the movement. -

Well, they get erased -- they have no political usage, you see, so... out of sight with them! And frankly, as someone who broadly fits into the normal category, if it were not for the collateral damage I put up with, I'd be perfectly happy to have no link to anything LGBT whatsoever.
I'm normal, I work a regular job, I do regular things, I participate in society pretty normally. So you'd never see someone like me on TV or highlighted in some article. It HAS to be a freak, and HAS to anger the Conservatives, or it must be swept away. -

sim@shitposter.club's status on Thursday, 25-Aug-2022 00:37:55 JST sim @Leyonhjelm @shebang @SirCandinavian @galena In some ways, I can understand why there was more promiscuity within the gay community in the past, because it wasn't accepted so they had to be more careful. They had a harder time with being with people long-term because it was risky, it is easier to just sleep around and not get attached. But with more acceptance, I hope that this attitude can change. It's hard though, because promiscuity is an encouraged lifestyle, perhaps ingrained right now. It may take some generations to overcome this. The older generations will still remember what it was like before gay rights.
Still, I do wonder about the domestic abuse within Lesbian relationships. What is driving that. Not that other relationships don't have this problem or a problem with promiscuity. -

I have seen precious little evidence that most male homosexuality has anything to do with love. Lust is the driving force. Lesbianism seems to be primarily about companionship on its surface but their domestic abuse rates are through the roof, so I can't say I have a firm opinion on what that really is. And trannies ... well, that's just giving up your humanity to mock God.

Perhaps it is more related to lust than I realise though. A lot of relationships seem to be related to lust out there, especially when it comes to the promiscuity scene. Perhaps those people will have always been inclined towards that, whether there are rights or not. -

When the sexual revolution happened, did it at any point have an influence on people to stay chaste?
I have never seen a "liberation" movement that was not clearly forcing people in a certain direction rather than simply expanding their options to their benefit.

sim@shitposter.club's status on Thursday, 25-Aug-2022 05:56:20 JST sim @Leyonhjelm @shebang @SirCandinavian @galena Good question. I don't think it ever influenced people to stay chaste. It seems to be against having boundaries or standards more than anything else. Liberation implies a struggle from a form of imprisonment or force. Perhaps these days we struggle to liberate ourselves from reality, we believe that reality doesn't apply to us.
