Good morning lovely people! I have attended the first session of a ssolstice retreat that started with the Jaipji Path, then an hour of the morning call (long ek ong kar). Another practice at 1pm.

Ya know when you pull into a parking spot and the other driver yells at you for parking too close to her so you open the door and check the white lines and you are WAY inside the lines so you say "I'm inside the lines" and she follows up with "fuck you", so now you are sitting in the car waiting for her to leave and she is clearly waiting for you to leave?

@sand Not gonna lie, COVID is what changed our family's relationship with the outdoor furniture, that led to improvements that led to more use that led to more improvements...

@sand Squirrels do not, as I have dogs. Bugs are weather dependent. AND every summer, I try every new gadget that comes out. I usually have to skip most of August but it's warm enough where I live that I can keep eating breakfast outside through mid-to-late October.

@sand oh, and we have a patio table with a fire pit insert, so that definitely extends outdoor time to when the yardwork is done for the year, so it feels like bonus time. Nothing beats a hot drink by a fire when it's just a bit chilly.

I am very jealous of my dog, who can get up, go outside in the cold to pee, then go right back to bed and be asleep within minutes. here I am 2 hours later, still awake.

I went plant based in 2020 for my health. It has done amazing things for me (put my type 2 diabetes in remission, eliminated eczema). What I didn't expect was to slowly evolve my feelings about ethical veganism. Today, I realized I can't follow people who post meat pictures on their pixelfed. I used to be able to ignore those pictures. Not anymore.

Urge to delete all my everything and spend all my time doing Elizabethan blackwork like it's 1997 and I still go to SCA events.
