Registos das bibliotecas itinerantes da Gulbenkian

O programa das bibliotecas itinerantes da Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian funcionou em todo o país entre 1958 e 2002. A Biblioteca de Arte criou uma exposição online e cronológica, que pode ser vista neste link. A Biblioteca pede ainda que aqueles que tiverem registos fotográficos ou outros destas bibliotecas os enviem para o email na imagem, de forma a serem preservados.

We celebrate Public Domain Day every 1st of January. Although copyright is important, Public Domain is paramount for creativity and access: not only Public Domain constitutes an important pool from where new authors can create new works, but also is an opportunity to publish long forgotten works. I’m considering the copyright term as life + 70 years, since that is the copyright term in Portugal and in most of European countries.

Só tenho pena que ninguém se tenha lembrado da solução óbvia: a UE dizer às farmacêuticas que se não venderem o medicamento a preço decente, deixam de reconhecer a patente. O preço ficava decente no dia seguinte.
Mas a culpa também é nossa, que claramente não sabemos votar bem.

Taxa da Cópia Privada custou 35M€ aos Portugueses em 2022 #PL118

Era suposto pagarmos 15M€ ao ano por conta da taxa da cópia privada: uma compensação por um possível prejuízo para realizarmos cópias privadas, prejuízo esse que o legislador nunca demonstrou existir. Nos últimos dois anos pagámos mais de 30 milhões de euros por ano. Um "estudo" da AGECOP permite concluir que as pessoas gravam sobretudo fotografias tiradas por elas próprias ou amigos e portanto não sujeitas a taxa.
